DarDoc becomes the UAE's first digital platform for medically supervised oral GLP-1

We are thrilled to announce that DarDoc is now offering oral semaglutide the once-daily tablet formulation of Wegovy making us the first digital health platform in the UAE to provide a medically supervised oral GLP-1 programme. This is a milestone we have been working toward, and we believe it marks a new chapter in how obesity care is delivered in the region.

This launch became possible after Novo Nordisk chose the UAE as the first market outside the United States to receive oral semaglutide. We were then designated as the exclusive digital provider on NovoCare Novo Nordisk's official UAE patient support platform meaning patients directed through NovoCare for access to this treatment come exclusively to us for their complimentary consultation. That trust means a great deal to our team, and we do not take it lightly.

Oral semaglutide is the first oral GLP-1 receptor agonist approved for chronic weight management. For patients who prefer not to self-inject, this is a genuinely meaningful new option one backed by robust clinical evidence. Since we began dispensing, we have already seen hundreds of patients join our waitlist, which tells us clearly how significant the demand for supervised, non-injectable obesity care is across the UAE.

We deliver the oral GLP-1 programme through our Lifestyle Rx Subscription, an end-to-end care model built to support patients from their very first consultation all the way through their treatment journey.
